Shortlisting
At the close of bidding each Monday, we will have a list of everyone who has bid for the property. Customers who are in the highest band and who have been registered for the longest amount of time will appear at the top of this list. Our Property Coordinators will telephone the top six customers and invite them to attend a viewing.
'At the viewing'
At the viewing you should let the officer know if you are interested in making the property your home. If more than one customer is interested in the property it will be let to the person who is highest on the shortlist.
'What you need to take to a viewing'
If you are successful at a viewing, the landlord will require proof of identification. If you do not have this information it may result in the property being let to the next customer. If you are attending a property owned by Birmingham City Council and you are not registered for Housing with the council, you must take a completed Housing Application Form to the viewing. You can pick up a Housing Application Form from any Neighbourhood Housing Office.
