Introducing Family

Family is a major player in the regeneration of Birmingham. Most of our properties are in inner city areas, and we work with local communities to enhance their quality of life through supplying affordable housing. But that's not all.

As well as providing a place to live, we believe in working with our tenants to develop their skills, build their confidence and enable them to achieve their full potential.

What we do

We own and manage over 2,100 homes in Birmingham, Sandwell and Warwickshire. The majority are available for rent to families and people living on their own. We also build new homes for rent and low cost home ownership.

We provide homes for about 200 people who need support to lead independent lives.

Tenant-centred

All our work focuses on the needs and aspirations of our tenants. Tenants are encouraged to have their say in a variety of ways including taking part in the Family Tenants' Forum, which meets regularly to discuss a wide range of issues concerning the quality and delivery of services

We have a Tenancy Support Team, who visit people in their homes to give advice and support on managing tenancies, benefits, financial problems, health issues and training and employment.
