Birmingham City Council
The housing department works to meet the housing needs of the people of Birmingham.
As well as managing over 70,000 council homes we develop and oversee plans for all types of housing in Birmingham, helping to create a city of vibrant urban villages.
We work with registered social landlords, the Housing Corporation and the private sector to develop high quality affordable housing.
We deliver housing support services to some of the most vulnerable people in the city, through the Supporting People programme.
We also work to tackle homelessness, help homeowners to look after their homes and raise standards in the private rented sector.
